This monotype or monoprint is made with a geliplate and acrylic paint. A unique handmade and one-off piece, only 1 print can be made of your design. Because of the graphic printing technique and the paper used, all kinds of textures and effects are created. Here you can see the texture of cardboard as I rolled my paint roller over the paper with corrugated cardboard underneath. I combined paint with a photograph. The whole thing has a grainy look reminiscent of street art - raw and grunge. Yet with fresh cheerful colors like blue, orange and purple. The woman has long hair and a look that can be interpreted in many ways.
