Pisac, in the heart of the Sacred Valley, offers a fascinating insight into Inca ingenuity. Perched high above the village, the archaeological site is famous for its stepped agricultural terraces, built to optimise the use of the mountainous land. Each terrace, finely carved into the rock, bears witness to the mastery of high-altitude agriculture. At the top, temples and residential areas tell the story of a flourishing culture. The views over the Urubamba valley are spectacular, with green hills and imposing mountains rising to the horizon. Travellers will find a peaceful, almost mystical atmosphere here, where the presence of the ancient Incas can still be felt.
Passionate about photography, I travel the world in search of the most beautiful shots.
