One of my favorite neighborhoods to photograph in Antwerp is the neighborhood around the Eilandje and Park Spoor Noord. And especially during the night. The neighborhood has been upgrading a lot lately and there are a lot of new modern buildings and residential blocks that are beautifully lit at night.
This photo was taken along Noorderlaan and you can see on the right side of the photo the building of the AP University of Applied Sciences Campus Spoor Noord and the residential block the "Parktoren" where in part of the apartments lights are on. Because of the long shutter time you can see the light trails of passing traffic on this busy road towards the harbor. This always provides some extra dynamics.
The different lines of the traffic, the wall from which the photo was taken and the grass field ensure that your eye is led to the center of the photo and the illuminated building.
