A glimpse into history and the present.
This old weathered wall (built in 1809) has been through a lot during various wars. In later periods, this wall was part of a re-education camp and a resort. Today the ruin, of which the old wall is a part, is a tourist attraction.
What intrigues me is the fact that this old wall has been through so much. This wall has seen misery and sorrow but also joy and other beautiful things. It is special to realize that when you stand in such a place to take pictures.
Over the years this place has fallen into disrepair and that is a pity. They are currently working hard to restore everything.
What I also like about such a place is that nature takes over the old buildings and walls. Over this old wall grows a beautiful green ivy and all around it are different kinds of wild flowers.
In the window there are still withered leaves from last fall. Perhaps a bird or a mouse had a nest here.
In short, this place and this wall let your imagination flow.

I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
