Just a tree on a small patch of flat land in the wild landscape of El Torcal nature reserve (Torcal de Antequera) in Andalusia - Spain.
But how beautiful is this tree, in full autumn colours in a crackling November sun, with in the background the rugged rocky landscape with the typical rock formations for which Ek Torcal is famous. It was quite a climb to get here over the slippery rocks and through narrow gorges - but absolutely worth it.
This is how beautiful nature can be when undisturbed by humans.
The use of a strong wide-angle lens gives the image extra depth, and the Polaroid filter makes the colours splash off the canvas despite the high-contrast scene.
