Bolesław Barbacki (10 October 1891 in Nowy Sącz, Poland, 21 August 1941 in Biegonice) - painter, social activist, teacher, actor, director. He is best known as a portrait painter. During WW1 he fled to Ischl in Tyrol, Austria and travelled to Munich, Bavaria, Germany and Salzburg. During WW2 he was shot by the Gestapo.
