About the artwork

Munshi Ghat is one of the Ghats in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The palace of Darbhanga Ghat is made of sandstone from Chunar, with beautiful porticoes and Greek pillars. This area has been important in the Puranic context, but has also gained in importance because of its grandeur and architectural style.
A Ghats in Varanasi is a staircase on the river leading to the banks of the river Ganges. The city has 88 ghats. Most ghats are ghats for baths and puja ceremonies, while two ghats are used exclusively as cremation places.

Erich Kips (17 January 1869 in Berlin, Germany, 26 September 1945) was a German painter. In 1889 Erich Kips studied painting at the art academy in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg.

Erich Kips was active as a figure painter at the beginning of his career. As a genre painter he also made many allegorical representations and later devoted himself intensively to landscape painting and cityscapes, especially harbour and marine subjects. Murals and graphics are also part of his work.

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
