This photo was taken in April 2012 during my photo and Easter trip to the east coast of the unique island of Sicily in southern Italy. The subject was photographed with the Nikon D90. The dynamic, rocky coast is located in the bay of Taormina.
Situated in the shadow of the seething volcano Etna, eastern Sicily is a land of fire and emotion.
Here, enchanting beaches, magnificent natural landscapes, delicious local specialities and interesting cities come together.
Definitely one of the most interesting areas of the sunny island.
