About "Luftwaffe Eurofighter Typhoon lands at sunset"

About the artwork

With hearing protection on my ears and my back to the plane, I took this photo at Nörvenich airbase in Germany.
You know the drill: everyone is looking to the left and one person is looking the other way. I was that one: from previous attempts, I had already noticed that photographing from the front did not yield the desired result, hence the 180-degree turn, which shows off the plane but also the sunset perfectly.

In the photo, next to the sunset, the Eurofighter (Nicknamed Typhoon) is visible. The aircraft is not invisible to radar but does have all kinds of handy state-of-the-art gadgets. Besides the German Air Force, Spain, Britain and Italy also use this fighter in Europe.

Nörvenich is a small town in Germany, near Cologne. On the outskirts of this village is this 'fliegerhorst' as the Germans call it, and here are two squadrons with Eurofighters and, in addition, 2 squadrons with Panavia Tornados are also temporarily housed here, in connection with the renovation of their home base Büchel.
It is one of my favourite places to 'spot'.

In my webshop, you will also find an image of Tornado in these brilliant lighting conditions.
