The little owl is a small owl that is fittingly a nocturnal bird but can be seen regularly during the day. This one was sitting on a beautiful stone that also seemed to have thesefth colours as the owl. Surely the bird's brown hues are special to see. The food of the little owl is adapted to its size: it does catch mice when it can, but also lots of earthworms, beetles and other insects as well as frogs or young birds. By quietly suspending it, I was able to capture it wonderfully. This headstrong critter is also called Athene noctua. With its yellow eyes, it sees everything. It prefers to eat a nice earthworm but also a mouse. When the sun starts to shine, it prefers to bathe in the sun. They are real hole-breeders. Sometimes you will see them sitting on a lamppost or at the top of the roof. Then your day can't really go wrong.
