Lange Nieuwstraat with the Beyerskameren in Utrecht. The Beyerskameren are a national monument. Originally, twelve free houses on Lange Nieuwstraat were founded in 1597 by Adriaen Beyer and his wife Alet Jansdogter to give poor people shelter.
