A metal ladder hangs tightly against a natural stone quay wall, anchored in sand and sea life. The wall consists of unevenly coloured blocks in warm earth tones, with traces of salt, wind and tides.
Two old car tyres lie at the foot of the wall - one on the sand, the other on top of the wall as a bumper. A rope hangs loosely down, stretched diagonally along the wall, as if it had just been detached from a boat.
The composition is clean and vertical: straight lines, clear shadows and a bright blue sky. Everything points to stillness and absence - no people, no water in motion, just shapes and material.
This shot shows the tangible edge of the land, where infrastructure and nature meet. A place where boats moor, where ebb and flow leave their marks, and where every stone has been shaped by time.
An image full of texture, rhythm and tranquillity - with room for interpretation.
