Extensive fog had been predicted for this morning on the first Sunday in September. I got up early to take pictures of the atmosphere at the Veluwe.
When I arrived, the fog was initially very disappointing. In the open areas there was some ground fog, but between the trees the fog was missing.
Until I drove past a coniferous forest where there was fog between the trees, but it only started a few meters from the ground.
For this photo, I put the focus on a beech tree in the foreground and pointed the camera slightly upward so that you could see the trunks of the conifers in the background fade nicely.
