Florinda is an oil on canvas painting completed in 1853.
The work of art shows the legend of King Roderic of Spain spying on Florinda la Cava and the other girls in the palace as they bathe in a garden in Toledo to decide the fairest. After Roderic has selected and tried Florinda, her father takes revenge by inviting the Moors to invade and conquer Spain.
The young women are scantily dressed and are often topless in beautiful surroundings in nature with a castle in the background. The girl on the right sits naked on her robe, showing her buttocks, back and shoulder bare. Next to her is a girl with a deep cleavage, followed by a nude model who is topless with her breasts exposed in the painting. The model on the left has also exposed her bosom.
All in all a sensual picture with romance and eroticism.
