This photo of the little known Östliche Spiessrutenspitze is proof that you should always keep your camera at hand. Most of the morning the landscape was hidden behind thick rain clouds. Only a few minutes after taking this picture the entire landscape disappeared into the clouds for good.
Most photographers hate conditions like these, but in my experience they often lead to amazing photos. The dark clouds add depth and drama to these forbidding mountains and help show that nature's boss in the high mountains.
Ever since I 'borrowed' my mother's contact camera in 2004, I've shot everything under the sun.
