About the artwork

El Teide or Pico del Teide is the largest volcano on the Spanish island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. Volcano and wide surroundings have been designated a national park since 1954. At 3718 metres above sea level and 7000 metres above the sea floor, it is the highest mountain in Spain. In height from the seabed, Teide is the third largest volcano in the world, after Hawaii's Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. The volcano is considered dormant, but new eruptions have not been ruled out. Teide is a young volcano in the ancient caldera (crater) of Las Cañadas. One hundred and fifty thousand years ago, a major eruption led to the formation of a caldera at Las Cañadas measuring 16 km in the east-west direction and 9 km in the north-south direction. Since then, the stratovolcanoes Teide - Pico Viejo were formed in the northern half of the caldera, which continues to this day. A caldera with a young volcano is called a Somma volcano. El Teide is one of 16 Decade Volcanoes designated by the IAVCEI due to their history of major eruptions and nearby inhabited areas. The mountain and its clean air provides a good opportunity for astronomical research. The Observatorio del Teide falls under the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias. Several universities have installed telescopes and other research equipment on the mountain.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
