About "Dam Square seen from the roof of the New Church"

About the artwork

This photo shows a breathtaking view of Dam Square in Amsterdam on a sunny day, with the National Monument prominently in view. In the foreground we see an ornate metal spire or weather vane, decorated with fleur-de-lis-like shapes and a gilded sphere. The whole thing floats above the square, so to speak, giving the sculpture a sacred, almost celestial appearance. The crowds below appear small and scattered like ants, reinforcing the idea of height and distance.
Style features: Vibrant colours with nice contrast between blue sky, white clouds and the architecture. Deep perspective and central composition around the iron decoration. Documentary as well as aesthetic, with an emphasis on urban beauty.

About the image maker: as a born and bred Amsterdammer, Peter feels a close connection to the city of Amsterdam. Over the years, he has captured the city of Amsterdam in many iconic works. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
