About the artwork

In the middle of the impressive lava landscape of Arena Negras on Tenerife stands a single, small Canary Island pine tree, bravely holding its own against the harsh environment. The surroundings are deep black, a rugged, almost otherworldly scenery of cooled lava marked by past volcanic eruptions. In this monochrome landscape, the pine tree looks like a symbol of life that has fought for its place unimpressed. Its needles glow a rich golden yellow, illuminated by the warm October sun. This autumnal glow seems to literally envelop the tree in a golden light and sets it apart from its gloomy surroundings.
The picture creates an intense feeling of contrast and clarity: life in the form of the tree and the merciless stone that surrounds it. The pine tree stands like a small flame in the darkness, its play of colours almost surreal. You could be forgiven for thinking it is a small phoenix that has risen from the ashes of the lava. Its glowing needles seem like a silent promise that beauty and life can exist even in the harshest of environments. Our gaze lingers on this solitary pine tree and reminds us of the power and unstoppable will of nature to prevail even in the most inhospitable places.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
