This picture was taken at Arrecife airport in Lanzarote. I was here on holiday around Christmas. Our hotel was within walking distance of the airport so we were constantly watching the flights coming in. We had already walked past this location once and I had this picture in my head from then on. A plane approaching from the sea over the beacon with the golden glow of the setting sun. I was at the location an hour and a half before I took this photo, so I had enough time to find the right angle and get all the settings right. I think I shot about 400 photos that afternoon of all the planes coming over, what a cool sight, they really came flying over a few metres above your head. This was one of the last photos and the one I had in mind. A successful afternoon that I look back on with great pleasure and I hope you will enjoy this photo on your wall as well.
