The entrance hall of Antwerp Central Station impresses with its architecture and imposing appearance. In black and white, the many small details of this building come into their own. Standing in the entrance, you can look all around at the many building elements and architectural details: The grand staircase, reminiscent of the staircase in a castle, the glass arch, the antique clock above the staircase, the many arches, balustrades and structural elements that decorate this beautiful entrance hall. To achieve this, the building was clad with over 20 different types of stone and furnished with marble. An impressive structure, it was built over 10 years starting in 1895 and later restored and expanded into a modern station with 3 levels and 14 platforms. The entrance hall was preserved in its original baroque style and is now one of the city's most popular attractions - one of the most beautiful railway stations in the world! The picture is also available in colour.
