About the artwork

Samson or Samson, according to Judges 13-16 in the Hebrew Bible, was a judge of the Israelites. Unlike the other judges, he did not so much lead the Israelites as fight the Philistines with the help of YHWH. Belonging to the tribe of Dan, Samson met the Philistine Delilah in the valley of Sorek. Delilah asked Samson what his awesome strength was and how he could be overpowered. Although Delilah betrayed him three times, Samson finally told her that he would lose his strength if his hair was shaved off. While he slept, Delilah called a man and made him shave off the seven locks of hair from Samson's head, after which Samson was overpowered by the Philistines. Alexandre Cabanel (Montpellier, 28 September 1823 - Paris, 23 January 1889) was a French painter. Cabanel was born in Montpellier in the Hérault department. He painted historical, classical and religious scenes in the academic style, and was also a well-known portrait painter. Cabanel is one of the most important representatives of the so-called art pompier. He was also the favourite painter of Emperor Napoleon III.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
