The Albula Bahn is a railway line in Switzerland that runs through the Albula Valley. It is part of the Rhaetian Railway and is known for its spectacular scenery and impressive engineering. The line is famous for its steep slopes, tunnels and viaducts, including the famous Landwasserviaduct. The Albula Railway has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008 for its cultural and historical significance.

The photochrome technique is a photolithographic process developed in the late 19th century. It was used to produce colour photographs's from black-and-white negatives. By printing different lithographic stones using different colours of ink, an accurate reproduction of the original scene could be made. Photochrome prints were popular for producing postcards and travel pictures's because of their realism and colourfulness. This technique played an important role in the early spread of colour photo's before colour photography was widespread.
