About the artwork

The photo shows the imposing Wachsenburg, majestically enthroned on a hill and surrounded by a lake. In the foreground of the picture is the lake, on which the morning mist is slowly lifting. The mirror-smooth water surface reflects the castle and makes it appear even more imposing.

Wachsenburg Castle is one of the Drei Gleichen, a group of three castles in Thuringia that served as defensive fortifications in the Middle Ages. The castle was built in the 10th century and rebuilt and extended several times over the centuries. One night on 31 May in 1231, all three castles were struck by lightning. This gave them the name "Drei Gleichen". Today, Wachsenburg Castle is a popular excursion destination and houses a hotel and restaurant.

The castle's location on a hill offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside and the lake that stretches out at its feet. The morning mist gives the picture a mystical atmosphere and makes the castle appear as if from another world. A truly impressive image that perfectly captures the beauty and history of Wachsenburg Castle.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
